Schedule:

Monday to Friday

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare all shipments as per customer and internal requirements adhering to the company standards
  • Prepare documentation such as Customs Invoices,B13a, BOL, all associated Documents, and other paper work as required for shipments inbound and outbound from Canada, the USA and international countries
  • Receive motors and parts recording all pertinent information, making note of any special requirements and transcribe the information obtained to the incoming receiving form
  • Perform pick-ups and/or deliveries as required, to and from customer and vendor facilities
  • Load and unload a variety of transporting vehicles including dry van and flatbed types
  • Operate large forklifts and heavy duty overhead cranes
  • Communicate with staff and freight companies or customers by use of e-mail. Use of the internet systems to assist in finding the proper information to complete tasks and objectives
  • Contact logistics companies to schedule transportation and competitive pricing for pick-ups and deliveries with the ability to plan and coordinate shipments
  • Maintain work areas in a safe, clean and orderly manner
  • Perform or assign daily inspections of the company vehicles, making note and immediately reporting any to comply with DOT standards
  • This position requires that you must respond after hours and on off days, to logistics or custom issues via cell phone provided by the company
  • Support Public Relations and Customer Service efforts.
  • Must be able to follow detailed written and verbal operating instructions in a time sensitive manner
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • Minimum one-year experience as shipper and receiver in a related industry
  • Full professional proficiency in English is required
  • A valid G Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract is a must.
  • Experience in operating Forklift Trucks or a valid Forklift License is preferred.
  • Must be familiar with computers and basic Microsoft Office application programs, such as Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Must understand Safety and ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System requirements
  • Required to arrange transportation of goods to and from the above-identified locations and our US facility
